RunningWild D&C is a full-service canine company whose sole mission is to improve and maximize the quality of life for our clients and their dogs. We look to bring balance to your dogs life by satisfying the biological need for mental & physical stimulation, structure, consistency, and communication. While we do not have a physical facility, we live in an area with one of the most beautiful environments in the world, and we take full advantage of that. All of our services take place outdoors in a variety of public & wilderness settings that have been deemed safe & conducive to the experience of all the dogs in our care. As with people, getting your dog outside into the mountains, forests, or any wilderness area provides an outlet that can be incredibly beneficial to their overall health & mental wellbeing. Whether your dog is anxious, fearful, aggressive, or just full of energy, allowing them to run wild through the outdoors, sniffing & exploring, can provide an incredibly fun outlet for their mental stability & peace of mind. This allows for a happier, more fulfilled dog which doesn’t only benefit your dog, but you as well. For dogs with behavior issues or owners looking to achieve higher levels of obedience this is just part of the process, but one that we believe puts dogs in a better place to enjoy their training and allows for the desired behaviors to formulate effectively and in a sustainable manner. For pet parents looking to provide their dog with a fun, fulfilling outlet while they are out or at work, our Adventures Program is an ideal way to allow them just that. We offer a variety of training services for EVERY breed, size, and temperament of dog.

A message from the owner…

I first came to Ashland to attend Southern Oregon University. Like most who spend any significant time here, I was quick to fall in love. Any free time was spent exclusively with my dog Champ exploring the never-ending playground that is the Rogue Valley and its surrounding mountains. Following graduation, while reluctant to leave, I accepted a position in Northern Washington as the Kennel Manager and Head Trainer at a prominent boarding & training facility. This opportunity allowed me to get my hands dirty and immerse myself in the world of canine training and behavior. Throughout my time there I was able to oversee the training of a large volume of dogs with a wide variety of issues and needs. After several years of my team and I finding great success with the dogs and our clients in Washington, my unrelenting desire for knowledge persisted and I decided to attend Starmark Academy’s School for Dog Trainers in Hutto, Texas. The intensive program partnered with local shelters in order to allow participants the opportunity to develop a skillset and advance their capabilities while providing the dogs a higher level of adoptability. The 3 month program culminated in a Canine Training & Behavioral Specialist Certification. At the completion of the program I had no doubt about what to do next. I was going to return to the place I love to do what I love. When I am not working with dogs you can find me hiking, mountain biking, trail running, snowboarding, or snowshoeing with my partner Amanda and our 4 dogs Sampson, Champ, Mac, and Rue.
